PREPARING FOR YOUR TRIP

When going on a missions trip, you need to not only prepare physically, but you will also want to prepare spiritually. Prayer and fasting is the best way to approach your trip - be prepared to serve Jesus by serving those in need. Pray that God paves the way for your team

We hope that you are excited about your upcoming trip. This trip is going to not only be a blessing to those you are bringing relief, but you will be personally impacted by serving those in need.

Below you will find answers to common questions as well as links to the packing list and required insurance, as well as instructions to pay for your missions trip.

PAY FOR YOUR TRIP

Church In Action has worked hard to reduce the overall cost of each trip and require that each volunteer pay $250 to cover overall costs of each trip. Payment can be made in the following ways.

  • Check made out to “Charity Church” with “Church in Action” in the memo field.

  • Text “stormrelief” to 317-584-8283.

WHAT ABOUT FOOD?

You will be responsible for your meals that are not served to us by the local community. These will include gas station stops (think Buc-ee’s) while traveling as well as fast food on most occasions while there.

WHAT TO BRING - YOUR PACKING LIST

Packing for a missions trip is a critical step in being the most effective you can be while you’re in the relief area. Here is our most recent packing list for you to work from for your upcoming trip.

TRIP INSURANCE IS REQUIRED

You MUST purchase insurance for yourself while on this trip. It is inexpensive and it required in order to leave with your team. You must provide confirmation of your purchase to your Trip Leader. Insurance can be purchase from Faith Ventures - we suggest your purchase the Basic Plan unless you’re planning to go back multiple times.

“WHY ARE YOU HELPING US?”

This is a question that volunteers get in many forms as we work in communities. This question is an open door to telling them about the hope you have in Jesus and what He has done in your life.
